John Westin

Operetta singer Adolf Berg will be called up for military duty just as he gets assigned a major role in an operetta. On the train he meets Ulla Wern and complications occur.

John is the skipper of the Albertina which is moored in Mariehamn. Nearby is luxury yacht Sea Star, where Ann-Mari boards. She begins to take an interest in John and makes sure to come aboard the Albertina to meet him.

Åke Hjelm and Wilhelm Holt run a business together. Hjelm is honest and fair, but Holt takes every opportunity to gain some easy money – legal or not.

Eva Bergh works as a bank clerk, but dreams of becoming an artist. At a party she meets the rich Harald Ribe and he instantly falls in love with her. When he proposes to marry her she has no work or place to live and she accepts. At Harald's estate she can live comfortably, but she misses her old friends.

The old Victor Branzell has a grandson, Alf, who is in love with a clerk in a glove shop, Lilian Lind. But Lilian with her simple background doesn't get accepted in the circles where Alf belongs, and they have now reached the conclusion that they can't have a future together. Marriage is impossible. Victor summons Lilian and Alf and starts telling them his life story.

Architect Sture Ahrengren walks out of his job with an architecture firm with the support of his wife Kristina. He gets a position with an old friend, Balstar Ekberg, who has a big engineering job going. But Sture gets entangled in a romance with Ekberg's wife, Helena.

Sigge and Putte has moved to a private school, where they fight and get up to mischief.
