A film about an anthropologist and his daughter during three periods: before, during, and after the Iranian Revolution. The daughter works in the accident & emergency department of a hospital, which is never empty of suicidal patients. The reason behind each suicide attempt is different, especially before and after the revolution. Looking for a reason to live, one of the suicide patients falls in love with the anthropologist’s daughter.

The daughter of a wealthy man marries a young Black man against her father's wishes. Shortly after, the woman dies during childbirth, and her husband is killed during a police chase. A little Black boy is the result of this marriage. The little boy meets a young man named "Reza," through whom he comes face to face with his grandfather.

Akbar, Nader, Abbas and Reza, who have been good friends since childhood, all want to achieve an aspiration. Abbas and Nader are wearing uniforms, Akbar joins his uncle's smuggling gang and Reza, who is paralyzed, does not wish for anything other than to continue his friendship with the other three.
