Poornima is a popular woman who has many suitors. However, when she is found dead in a place she had visited the night before, Jayaraj, her admirer, gets arrested for the crime.

Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu is a 1986 Malayalam comedy film directed by Priyadarshan. Starring Mohanlal, Mukesh, Lizy, Sreenivasan, Jagathi Sreekumar, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Kuthiravattam Pappu in the main roles. This film was a huge hit in theaters and is considered as one of the best comedy films in Malayalam cinema.

Elizabeth (Sukumari) has just retired as a college sports coach. Heeding to the suggestions from her students, she starts a beauty parlour with her retirement money. Her son Emil (Rahman) and brother Vakkachan (Nedumudi Venu) assist her in this venture. However things don't start out well early, till the arrival of a skilled beautician Mini (Rohini). The film was in production from 1985 and was stalled due to financial crisis faced by the producer Sajan Vargeese. The film is a sequel to 1964 film Thacholi Othenan. Few shots from Tacholi Othenan is shown in this movie also.The film was released after the death of Prem Nazir.

Shivasubrahmaniam (Maniyan Pillai Raju), an innocent bank employee is in love with Rohini (Lizzy), but is afraid to express her his love. Nandi Veendum Varika is a 1986 Indian Malayalam film, directed by P. G. Viswambharan and produced by M. Sunil Kumar. The film stars Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Urvashi, M. G. Soman and Sreenivasan in lead roles.

James (Sreenivasan) is an average police officer, apathetic towards his job and only in it for his monthly salary. Ravi and Indu are a happily married couple who live in Trivandrum. On a train journey back from Ernakulam they meet a girl Radha. She ran away from home to escape from her abusive stepfather and her only hope is to find her cousin Venu in Trivandrum, but is unaware of his wherabouts. Ravi and Indu take her in to their house and decides to help her find Venu.

Talks about the Hindu-Muslim politics and conflicts in Kerala which are connected to some of the feudal lords who incite the tension.
