In Stockholm a young female law student investigates a series of jewel thefts that have been baffling the police.

The daughter of the Parisian countess Lafitte, named "Baby", is supposed to go to an English boarding school, but she's much more interested in variety shows. Nevertheless, she travels with her friend Susette to London, who also wants to make a career for herself as a showgirl. During the journey, Baby is mistakenly considered to be a showgirl and she does nothing to dissuade two young English lords from believing so. The girls continue to live under false pretenses even when they arrive in England, with Baby being a soloist with the group "Babies" and Suzette passing herself off as the Contessa Lafitte for school exams. At the end -- a double marriage.

The famous tightrope artist Truxa is drinking at the Artisan bar in New York. He meets a young man, Husen, and gives him his stage name Truxa. He is to take the real Truxa's place at a circus show in Wintergarten, Berlin.

It’s 1910 and we’re in the duchy of Lauffenburg. Everybody is celebrating the 600th birthday of the local hero, Otto the Ironman, who in his time saved the duchy from annexation and beat the enemy so badly, that he fled ... well, that’s what it says in the history books, at least. Local gossip asserts, however, that Otto wasn’t even part of the battle and was spending his time having fun with a pretty girl. When one day a piece is introduced at the court theatre, which tells the heroic story of Otto, the director rejects the mediocre story.

One of them is the chamber singer Paul Schneider, who only remembers his childhood sweetheart with irony. They meet the former student Werner Birkner at his wedding, where Anita meets the teacher Michael Brantner. But the encounters make no impression on Marianne. Until she meets her former great love again at a concert given by her daughter, the general director Elmers. The concert is a resounding success and Marianne reconnects with Elmers, who is still unaware that Anita is his daughter.

For many years, old Mr. Brugg has been employed at the jewelry store owned by the elegant Mrs. Hellmers. These women come to Alexander, because whomever he paints looks pretty on the canvas. But valauble paintings from an earlier time show quite well what Alexander is capable of. In a shopping center, Alexander makes the acquaintanceship of a women, with whom he immediately falls in love. She, however, disappears --- and didn't even give him his name (ah, true, deep love). A short time later, he sees her again at a Fasching ball. She is wearing a golden mask, which practically hides her entire face. This supposedly unknown woman falls in love with Alexander and becomes his lover the next day.

An unknown curiosity even for experts, this is a film from the late work of the director of the classic films Mother Krause's Journey to Happiness (1929) and Berlin, Alexanderplatz (1931). Although the communist Philipp Jutzi readily switched sides to the new rulers of Germany after the change of regime, the Goebbels administration did not forget his past. At first, he was allowed to make feature films for two more years (including The Cossack and the Nightingale with Jarmila Novotná, 1935), then only short films, such as this detective story with an educational mission.

Bohemian landed gentry around 1850: A young baron challenges his reckless rival to a duel, but after the latter misses, he reserves his own shot, intending to use it only when his opponent has come to value his life. The rival undergoes a transformation and finds happiness in a serious love affair. At the pleas of this woman, the vengeful baron finally relents.
