MovieComedy
A satire on the ways of the aristocracy. After the revolution, the bourgeois Nedopluev loses his appetite and sleep. Neither medicine nor the regimens prescribed by the doctor help him. He is drafted to the labor front. Donning on a robe over a house robe, he goes to work. Together with other bourgeois, he has to haul manure and load stones. The next time, Nedoplyuev puts on a workman’s overalls. Very soon he is cured of his ailment, becomes healthy and energetic, eats enough for three and smokes only makhorka. Seeing that his wife has lost her appetite, Nedoplyuev makes her chop wood. The film ends with the slogan: "The ills of the bourgeoisie will vanish with Soviet medicine".
