Antonis always goes by train. He is in a rush to make it on time. His recent past keeps catching up on him. Reality does not allow him to escape the images. A post-modern theater adaptation of a classic Greek tragedy takes place in a central theater of Athens. Like every night, the audience take their seats and the play begins. Suddenly, the lights on stage go out. A group of young people, dressed in black and carrying guns, come up on stage. They apologize for the interruption and invite people from the audience to participate on stage. The play resumes with a main difference; life imitates art and not the opposite.

Up to a point, because when love intervenes, things take a different turn, they are transformed into sensitive and weak creatures and are fulfilled in a woman's embrace.

If they don’t own it, how can they go on?

The performance is over, the actors step off the stage, the audience leaves the theater. However,in this case, the end marks the beginning. Eleven spectators star in their own tales, intertwined in a collage crafted by life itself. Restaurant and movie theater owners, immigrants and tourists, regulars and passers-by interact with the urban entourage and the people they come across, weaving a mosaic of endless possibilities.

A lavish mansion hosts a grand reception attended by ambassadors, ministers, the police chief, a techno-detective, a mercenary, and two wandering beauties. A mysterious painting by Rembrandt piques the interest of some of the guests, with the host of the evening, Mr. Malaparte, hiding a priceless artistic treasure inside his home... Or maybe not?

A disturbing parallel montage alternates between an earthquake drill at a school and a celebration with references to missing combatants.
