After a fight with her father, 15-year-old Carla sets out to find her mother, who ran away years ago. Her odyssey through Schleswig-Holstein, accompanied by a young musician, goes hand in hand with her growing self-awareness.

This farmer comedy is about a completely normal and very average cat who the nasty neighbor claims has chosen his purebred chicken chicks as his favorite food. The neighbor responds with a sharp shot from a hunting rifle. As a result, the cat is fatally shot and the cat owner is deeply wounded. The argument begins, there is talk of murder and crime, the dispute escalates through three acts until the - naturally conciliatory - conclusion: it turns out that everything was "for nothing".

Commissioner Brockmann's criminal investigation is prompted by the body found by the cleaner Erna Pieper, which turns out to be very mobile! She disappears and reappears, causing considerable confusion among the survivors. The inspector and the cleaner get into a fierce competition to solve the case. The expert and the naively clever dilettante engage in a veritable battle of applied detective story logic. Which professionally proud expert likes it when a "little woman from the street" keeps messing up his work with her uneducated, "common sense" - and is successful at the same time...

The grocer Karsten Kray, a widower in his prime, is being hunted: four women have set out to steer him into the harbor of a second marriage. His drinking companion Asmus Broihan, a coffee broker and bachelor with an in-depth knowledge of the establishments of "Sankt Liederlich", is completely against it. Both day and night, he is ready and eager to chase his friend Kray through the amusements of the world-famous entertainment district. He is prepared to use almost any means to thwart the plans of the boisterous ladies.

Otto Sanftleben has had enough of the nudity on display everywhere in the big city of Hamburg. So he returns to the Lüneburg Heath. But there are now naked people there too - and his filmmaker colleague is also very interested in capturing the naked girls with his camera...

The village tailor Witt has been burgled, and he himself has received a nasty blow to the head! The seriousness of the crime means that the gendarme in charge does not investigate the case alone - the new head of the district is eager to take over. The head of the parish, Kreyenborg, slyly supports the criminal investigation by getting help from his servant Willem, a man of "plietscher Dröhnbüdeligkeit (a charmingly clever annoyance)". The young vet Renken is also happy to help him, which his daughter Lena warmly welcomes. After confusing statements from Trina, the tailor's wife, the question arises: is there something to cover up?

A big change is on the horizon in a small northern German community. The local council agrees that the village needs a doctor, a properly qualified doctor of medicine. But where to put the doctor and practice? There is only one option: The house of midwife Mathilde Jansen, which belongs to the municipality. Midwives are becoming unfashionable anyway. Although she is forced to vacate her home as a result of the change that has been decided, the midwife goes along with it. Mathilde herself gets involved in the search for a doctor. The local council is soon in for a rude awakening. Midwife Jansen, known as "Mother Griepsch" in the old North German dialect, has all too wilfully bungled the local politicians.

In the sailors' pub "Die Königin von Honolulu" in Hamburg's St. Pauli district in 1910, the sailors are sitting grumpily and pestering their wages master, Krischon Honolulu, to finally get them a ship, as their coffers are at low tide. Then the sailor Scharli appears and reports that an American luxury yacht has arrived, owned by the millionaire William Thomson, a "madman" and misogynist who throws his money around. Eight sailors are wanted for a voyage around the world, including to Honolulu.

In a small harbor on the North Sea coast, the skipper's pub "Zum eisernen Matrosen" and the customs office are located opposite each other. Since smuggling has been practiced on the Waterkant since time immemorial, the "smuggler king" Adrian and his two sons Paul and Emil try to outsmart the conscientious and omnipresent customs officer - according to the motto: "Go to sleep with grog, wake up with grog, that's the whole course of the day!"
