Times are hard for little Sofia, as the Greek recession is taking its toll. With her Father out of work, they rely solely on Greedy Grumpy Granny's pension. Desperate times call for desperate measures; to what extremes will they go, when Granny is no more?

Ioli is a romantic and sensitive mermaid who lives in her underwater home somewhere in the Amvrakikos Gulf among squid, snappers, sea urchins, seals and other sea creatures. With her lives her little sister Callirroi, who has one and only desire: to lose her virginity.

The story takes place in a small town in Crete with the White Mountains as a backdrop. A family sees their lives change when they suddenly learn that their 6-year-old son Pavlis, whom they consider a musical genius, has been diagnosed with autism. The series is based on the Keshet series "The A Word".
