The film is set in a world where traditional gender roles between women and men are reversed. Bitirim Leyla and Sarı Leman are the tough, street-smart women of their neighborhood. While Leman works in a factory, Leyla makes a living through small-time scams on the streets. Leyla cheats on her husband with a young man from the neighborhood, while Leman spends her time with male prostitutes. However, the lifestyle they lead eventually draws both women into crime.

Ali Osman is a former bully of city of Istanbul. But lately he gives up bully and starts to operate a synthetic pitch. He often meets his old friends, former bullies, too. One day Ali Osman receives a news which is related with his previous passionate life. Then the whole action stats as a chain of events.

Nurettin Bey decides to send his daughters to the neighborhood to publicize the matter to the media. Nurettin Bey's daughters disagree: Hülya learns of her father's plans and grows closer to Ayhan. Selma, however, sides with her father and tries to win over Ayhan's cousin Turan. Turan testifies against Ayhan in exchange for the money offered to him. Ayhan is labeled a bribe-taker in the neighborhood. Uncovering the truth will be difficult.

The film tells two separate love stories involving Turhan (Tamer Yiğit), a young man camping on Büyükada, and two island residents, Jale (Leyla Sayar) and Mine (Tülin Elgin).

The film follows the lives of those who immigrate to the city, leaving their families behind. Ahmet and his friends came to the city with great expectations, but soon confront the difficulties of adjusting to life there. After days of job hunting, they finally find employment in the harbor.
