The deaf-mute little girl Angelika is a talented dancer and is trained by a ballet mistress so that she gets the leading role in an opera despite the intrigues of a rival. Angelika's brother gets out of prison and wants to build an honest life for himself, but falls back into the clutches of his former gang, who use him and the unsuspecting Angelika to circulate counterfeit money.

Maria and Hannes are already looking forward to their vacation together when Hannes has to go away on business at short notice. Maria suspects that Hannes is having an affair with another woman and defiantly travels to Capri with her friends.

Sequel to “Stars above Columbo”: Yrida, a circus rider who has been abducted to India, wakes up in the maharajah's palace, where the court physician convinces her that she has only dreamed all the terrible events.
