The "Fiery Arc" tells of a grandiose battle on the Kursk Bulge in the summer of 1943. Here was the largest tank battle in the history of World War II. Along with the personal fate of the heroes, the film shows battle scenes, the activities of headquarters and intelligence, those who worked at the front and in the rear.

Fascist Italy's prime-minister Mussolini is arrested following the Allies landing in Sicily. Meanwhile, Soviet troops plan their offense towards Kyiv. Lt. Col. Lukin's regiment crosses the Dnieper river as the division's vanguard. Unbeknownst to them, they're merely a ploy to mislead the Germans so the rest of the army can catch them off guard.

The plot begins in the Soviet Union showing first efforts to establish the Czechoslovak legion in 1942. The film also shows the assassination of Heydrich and the subsequent annihilation of Lidice. The main topis of the film is battles with German troops for Sokolovo.

The plot is based on the dramatic fate of the Red Army commander Aleksei Ivanovich Pavlov. Having been captured in January 1942 and being among the displaced persons, he didn't immediately decide to return to the USSR. Having rolled around the foreign country for 17 years, Aleksei nevertheless returned to his homeland. He goes to his brother in the south of the country to Sevastopol. Aleksei accidentally meets the doctor Anna Andreyevna, who was saved from death in besieged Leningrad. She travels by car from Moscow and also to the south, with her daughter Tanya; she suggests he join them. Aleksei tells about his life on the road.

The career path of Sergei Omarov, a young engineer and graduate of a mining institute, does not start easily. But with the help of his worker friends, he not only becomes a skilled craftsman, but also rises to the position of head of Vzryvprom.

The invaders are leaving the northern town of the young Soviet republic. The brave underground activist Alexei Ilyutinsky infiltrates a musical troupe organized to entertain the White Army command and boost the morale of the population. The new horn player, who has no musical ear whatsoever, passes on the White Army's defense plan to the Reds and saves Bolshevik Makeev, the former chairman of the provincial executive committee, from being shot.

The owner of the private detective agency Ilya Mirsky receives a tempting offer from the wife of media mogul Eva Lukachyova - he should not allow the leak of compromising information, which would deprive Eva of her multimillion-dollar inheritance. Deciding to take the case, Ilya could have hardly imagined that he would have to face a whole series of sophisticated murder, and that the result would be in the danger of his own life.

The wounded Russian soldier Fyodor, risking his life, was sheltered on a Latvian farm by his grandfather and granddaughter. Ilga fell in love with him, but the war separated them. Fedor went to the partisans, and Ilga is killed by the Nazis. Only many years later Fedor came again. Here he meets a young woman very similar to Ilga.

Kolosov, a former oil refinery technologist, is appointed director of the research institute, which has long been estranged from real production. The new director energetically takes up the task, and somehow does not pay much attention to the fact that the scientific staff of the institute, headed by Professor Serafima Shuvalova, begins to group against him.

13-year-old boy Ivan loses all loved ones to World War II. His father was killed, and his mother died during the bombing. Ivan has to survive, relying only on his own strength. He is evacuated to the Urals, settles in a factory and even finds the opportunity to help strangers.

The plot centers on the people who began to form underground groups from the very first days of the occupation of Minsk: oil engineer Isa Kazinets, soldier Ivan Kabushkin, student journalist Vladimir Omelianuk, medical professor Yevgeny Klumov, party and Soviet worker Sergey Blagorazumov, and others. Their main weapon was their hatred of the occupiers. Soon, the underground fighters managed to establish contact with the partisans, and they began to plan joint operations.

Rebellions are rising in different countries - such as the heroic uprising in Warsaw, in Slovenia, Bucharest and other cities. Brave heroes who performed immortal feats in the name of the happiness of mankind and freedom.
