Macide is delighted with this offer and moves to Istanbul to live in Süleyman Bey's house. Süleyman Bey's daughter Sacide is uncomfortable with this situation. She and her friends mock Macide for being from the countryside. At that moment, Sacide's boyfriend, Vedat Süreyya, arrives. He also looks down on Macide like the others. However, things will soon take a turn for the worse.
