After twelve years of school - twelve years of a strict, regimented life-style - high school graduation can be a very scary moment. It's a time when a student suddenly realizes everything is about to change. And many are not ready for the drastic fluctuation in their lives. This film concentrates on traumas facing two different graduates. Hideo and his friends always hang out at The Joint, a sand-wich/soda shop near the school. Just prior to graduation, the place is closed up. This gives an unsettling message to the kids who are already queasy over their own future. They react badly by going to school and raping their homeroom teacher. Meanwhile, Ichiro, who failed the University Entrance Exam, has barricaded himself - along with girlfriend Ranko - in a hotel with a rifle.

A bar-owner named Kuroki, forlornly waits for his adulterous wife to get back from messing around with her boyfriend. She returns, but because she's been fooling around with gangsters she brings trouble with her. Kuroki gets tied up and beaten, his wife and customers get tortured and raped, and it is finally up to the mousy cuckold to set things right, Straw Dogs-style.

A group of corrupt police detectives go on a manhunt for an ex-collogue who they believe could blow their whole rotten operation wide open.

The Moon Mask Rider is a tokusatsu movie produced by Purumie International/Herald Enterprises and distributed by Nippon Herald Pictures, was released theatrically on March 14, 1981. Considered Japan's answer to the American box-office fiasco, The Legend of the Lone Ranger (released the same year), this updated version of the Moonlight Mask legend bombed at the Japanese box-office. Daisuke Kuwahara (who, like Klinton Spilsbury , disappeared from doing films) plays George Owara (Moon Mask Rider's new alter-ego), and the rest of the cast made up of veteran action starlets: Sue Shihomi, Daijiro Harada and Takayuki Godai.
