Paco is the boy buttons a luxury hotel. Usually do small businesses with the resale of tickets to bullfights tourists. By a misunderstanding is fired from his job. There is no use of his taste and wanders the Victoria Street taverns. Finally discovers his only chance in bulls, easy craft that believes and loves. The reality is very different and has to accept the truth which manifests itself in a very dramatic.

Barcelona, 1860. Mr. Esteve, owner of a haberdashery and proud of his son, attends the christening of his grandson who, years later, determined to become a renowned artist, seems unwilling to continue the tradition and take over the family business. A small Spanish town, Villar del Río, is alerted to the upcoming visit of American diplomats and its ruling townsmen begin preparations to impress the American visitors, in the hopes of benefiting under the Marshall Plan. Hoping to demonstrate the side of Spanish culture with which the visiting foreign officials would be more familiarized, the Castilian citizens don unfamiliar Andalusian costumes, hire a renowned flamenco performer, and re-decorate their town in Andalusian style, meantime waiting for their uncertain arrival.

A young man, Marco, working as a butcher, accidentally kills a taxi driver. His girlfriend Paula wants to go to the police so he has to kill her too. He then has to kill his brother, his brother’s fiancée and his father, who have become suspicious. He gets rid of the bodies by taking them to a slaughter house.

Miguel and Verónica meet in a plane and lie to each other about their true self: she tells him she's a secretary while she actually is the billionaire niece of a duchess, and he tells her he's a trumpet player while he is a Teutonic king. Eventually they fall in love, without knowing about each other's true identity, all of this while Miguel is being urged by his ministers to choose a wife of royal blood and get married as soon as possible, and a revolutionary group, one of which members is Verónica's brother, plans a terrorist attack against the king.

Obsessed with fantasies of sex, Father Miguel seeks professional help through his church but they are not listening; thus leaving the Father in a dilemma; leaving the church or should he try, on his own, to surrender to these temptations?

A small Spanish town is shocked because they have found the bone of one of its local heroes: Don Nuño Pérez de Gormaz. The bone is a symbol of the history of the place, and therefore also of the history of Spain, so that all residents take to the streets to try to recover it.

Daniel is a member of The Organization. He is sent on an assignment to Bilbao to determine what has become of a lad his age, a former member. He takes over the boy's room in an odd rooming house. When he is given the photo of the boy's girlfriend, he is so taken with it that he puts off his quest. The Organization requires him to continue, however, so he tracks her down to a remote fishing village.
