Mariana doesn’t like her name and starts calling herself Gloria. Her parents split up before she was one year old and today, like many separated couples, they are brought back together under the same roof only because they don’t have a decent job. Cristina, her mother, rents a part of the house to her ex-husband for a bit of extra money. “Francia” talks about those people who will never travel far from their home, where they take refuge, for good or bad, from all disgusting things in the outside world. Meanwhile, Mariana puts on her headphones when she hears her parents fighting. Those fights which now serve as a relief to the helpless.

Pájaros volando

José (Diego Capusotto) lives in Buenos Aires with his father, with whom he doesn't have a good relationship. He's a musician, but supports himself with the earnings from his taxi company, and when he can, he plays with his band in pubs. He's nostalgic for the success he could never achieve again, like when he played with his cousin Miguel (Luis Luque). They had both achieved a certain notoriety with the song "Pájaros vuela" (Flying Birds) by their band "Dientes de Limón." After a long time without seeing each other, Miguel, who lives in Las Pircas, a small town in the mountains of Córdoba, comes to visit him and suggests that he leave the city and come with him.

The Attachment Diaries

Botineras

Botineras is an Argentine telenovela produced by Endemol and Underground. Airing on Telefe, it was premiered on November 24, 2009, and was broadcast until August 25, 2010. It works around football players, their mediatic romances and police investigations. In the beginning the telenovela had a comedy approach, but later shifted to give more prominence to the policial genre. The main actors at the beginning were Florencia Peña and Nicolás Cabré, Peña decided to resign some time after the genre shift as her character lost importance for the plot, whereas the ones played by Romina Gaetani and Isabel Macedo gained notability.

Lalo Padilla, a chauvinistic man and the director of a popular men's magazine, fell victim to a revenge spell cast by one of his mistresses after he stood her up. Los Roldán is a Spanish language telenovela produced by Argentina's Telefe from 2004 to 2005. The drama, which is also described by many as a comedy, actually ended up winning an award in 2004 as Argentina's Comedy of the Year. RCN Colombian network recently bought the soap opera, making a Colombian version called Los Reyes, while the Mexican version of Los Roldán is Los Sánchez, produced by TV Azteca. In 2008, ANT1 Cyprus, produced the series in a Cypriot version called Η ζωή είναι ωραία. In 2012, Mega Channel, produced the series in a Greek version called Οι Βασιλιάδες.
