Spec saga "The Romance of Satori" is a 24 minute science fiction-comedy-adventure-action-suspense-romance-mystery starring Yuina Kuroshima as Ito Ninomae, Erina Mano as Satori Hoshi and Naoki Kunishima as Shoichi Mizushima. The series premiered on Fri Sep 28, 2018 on Paravi and EP06 (S01E06) last aired on Fri Sep 28, 2018.

Again we follow a pair of police detectives as they track down offenders with special abilities (SPEC). However, since the events of the previous chapters, MPD Public Security's special division for solving cases involving unknown circumstances (Mishou) no longer exists. Instead, there is now an exclusive special division (Tokumu) as part of the Cabinet Information Research Office that only deals with cases involving SPEC holders led by Nonomura Koutarou's younger brother, Nonomura Koujirou

In 1984, an up-and-coming writer named Aida Taiju has her career crushed by off-hand criticism from an established author, Higashijujo-sensei. They end up holed up writing in the same hotel historically favoured by authors in the Jimbocho publishing district. Swearing revenge, Taiju makes Higashijujo miss his writing deadline by pretending to be a different person, and entangles her editor into the ruse. They become entangled in a long-lasting feud of revenge where Taiju uses her acting background and pretends to be various different women in order to have her revenge on Higashijujo or blackmail him. Higurashi Tabito has lost four out of his five senses--his sense of sound, smell, taste, and touch. The only sense he has is sight, which he relies on for his job as a detective who has to investigate and find various missing objects. He works at the detective agency with Yukiji, his buddy and manager, and Tei, his adopted daughter. No matter what it is, Tabito always finds the missing object. His investigative methods, however, are a little bizarre. His eyes seem to be able to see everything, including things that regular people can't see, like scents and emotions. Without a single blood relative left in the world, the lonely Tabito pours his heart out on his job. Each case he solves brings him closer to Yukiji, Tei, and her daycare teacher Yoko, who all treat him like family. Wrapped in their warmth, his heart begins to melt.

It is 17-year-old Sakutaro Matsumoto. His time with the girl comes back to him. The colored sand runs through his hands and a tear appears on his cheek. He wakes up. It's 2004 and he is 34 years old and in Japan. He thinks "I have been in a world without her for 17 years." Returning home to see his old high school for the last time before it is demolished, Saku confronts anew the loss of the love of his life, Aki, to leukemia 17 years ago. Now a medical researcher at graduate school, he has been living as if half of him died with her since then.

Detective Gido Kennin (Tanaka Kei) specialises in reinvestigations, and is the most shunned and loathed person at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. He carries around a name card with no department written on it and takes pleasure in uncovering cases where the police created false charges. Gido reveals the negligence of the police such as mistakes in initial investigations and cover ups, reconsidering the testimonies and evidence from these cases to discover the real criminals. He hates it if people escape punishment and in order to prevent this from happening, he makes all other sacrifices. It is said that no one will be happy after Gido’s investigations, and this has earned him the nickname “grim reaper”.

Rage, a pimp who only loves money and himself, is sent to jail for 6 months. While he is in the jail, Rage’s partner, Reiji, dies in a traffic accident. Released from prison, Rage finds himself having lost everything but a debt of 6 million dollars. One day, Rage is visited by a lawyer that mistakes him for Reiji. According to the lawyer, Reiji’s father died and left him a large inheritance. Reiji’s only other living relative is his blind sister. Rage smells money and hatches a plan to pretend to be Reiji and steal his money.

Meanwhile, because of Satoshi Chii's scheme, Juichi Ninomae considers Saya Toma his parents' enemy and tries to push her to the edge. Satoshi Chii's scheme has also caused Saya Toma and Juichi Ninomae to forget that they are brother and sister. The siblings are headed to a life-staking fight. A girl named Maho Ueno becomes involved in their fight. To protect Maho Ueno, Saya Toma uses "spec".

Hazama Eisuke, also known as "Ace", is a genius surgeon who works as a patissier during the day. He has an operating room equipped with the latest equipment in the basement of his patisserie, where he performs surgeries on patients who have been abandoned by others. Shimoyamada Jo, also known as "Joker", is a brilliant international lawyer and a negotiator with patients.

Keizoku is a Japanese mystery thriller created first as a TV drama and later as a film. It is about Detective Jun Shibata, who handles unsolved cases with her hardened partner Tōru Mayama.
