As produced for British television in the mid-1990s, the series of individual feature-length movies titled CIRCLES OF DECEIT star Dennis Waterman as John Neil. Its dark edge, complex plots, generally great acting and writing and colourful and varied situations make it a rather gripping spy series. Circles of Deceit really started out as a one off for ITV in 1993. The film was popular enough to generate three follow ups that were produced and showed in 1995 and 1996 under the generic title of Circles of Deceit.

Anna Lee is a British television series produced by Brian Eastman and Carnival Films for London Weekend Television. Following a 1993 pilot, five two-hour programmes were produced in 1994, loosely based on the detective novels of Liza Cody. Private investigator Anna Lee works for the Brierly Security agency after leaving the police force. Each episode features a different mystery.

Take the High Road was a British soap opera produced by Scottish Television, set in the fictional village of Glendarroch, which started in February 1980 as an ITV daytime soap opera, and was dropped by the network in 1993, although various members of the ITV Network continued to screen the programme, while others had no interest in doing so. The programme has developed a cult following.

Screenplay was a drama anthology television series, broadcast on BBC between 1986 and 1993. Numerous episodes were produced including one named "Boswell and Johnson's Tour of the Western Islands" starring Robbie Coltrane as English writer Samuel Johnson who in the autumn of 1773, visits the Hebrides off the north-west coast of Scotland. That episode was directed by John Byrne and co-starred John Sessions and Celia Imrie.
