Brave to Love

A ten-part hour-long series that follows the aftermath of a mass-shooting where all parties involved - the killer, the victims, the victims’ families, the media and the defense teams, whose fates are all intertwined.

In 1949, the only daughter of the largest tea factory in Taiwan was supposed to marry a man to take over her life and her father’s huge business. After she divorced, who was her own master became a question. To prove her worth, she intervenes in the family business that was in high debt. In an era when there was no "businesswoman", she led the crumbling tea factory to the world in the "tea wars”.

Weng Wen-fang (Hsieh Ying-hsuan) came from a political family. She joined the Justice Party as the deputy director and spokesperson of the Publicity Department, after failing to be re-elected as a member of the Council. She led the publicity team in realizing their goals, but not without facing many challenges to their faith and values.

A deadly virus outbreak puts a hospital in total lockdown, and various people trapped in the crisis must confront a deluge of agonizing choices.

Gao-bing works in a bakery in a small town. The owner, Mr Chiu, is so into his Rock 'n 'Roll band, and the apprentice Di doesn't seem enthusiastic about learning baking at all. The business of the bakery is getting down and Gao-bing doesn't know what to do with the situation. All he can do is work harder and makes more bread. Ping, the daughter of Mr Chiu, grew up together with Gao-bing and is Gao-bing's girlfriend. She often complains that Gao-bing only follows the traditions and doesn't take any dramatic actions to save the bakery. In order to develop revolutionary new flavors, Ping takes baking courses in the city where she meets Bread. Bread, born in America, is charming and humorous. He falls for Ping at the very first sight. Even though Ping is with Gao-bing, she finds Bread's bread has a special magic. She thinks Bread might be the one that saves the bakery

Jin-Hui Chiu is a 28-year-old single girl recently returned home from Japan. Sean Shih is a 35-year-old Silicon Valley bachelor in search of a wife. Wei-Lun is a senior high school student in Taipei. His daily life revolves around school, cram school, and home—or he’s on the way between these places. The only time he can catch his breath is during that short break between school and cram school, when he sneaks off to an internet café. He doesn't take exams very seriously, nor has he ever thought deeply about anything. He simply drifts through each day, living a monotonous and unchanging routine. The future seems distant and unreal. As long as he's with his friends, it feels like these youthful days will go on forever—doesn’t it?

A Taiwanese boy who makes bread meets a baking chef from Britain. They both have their eyes on the same girl and decide to challenge each other in a baking competition where the winner gets the girl.

Set against the backdrop of the bustling metro system in Taipei, six stories of love emerge.
