In the process of illness and death of the father of three sisters (Eva, Julia and Perla) they confront each other, their lives, their past, their hopes and frustrations in a middle class environment. It is based on an idea by Mauricio Walerstein and Ibsen Martínez.

The title refers to those strange coincidences that happen to us sometimes and that seem inevitable, like a product of destiny. Inspired by the experience of a Canarian child victim of cancer, the film is conceived as a Christmas story.

The Heifer

During the Spanish Civil War a platoon of mismatched Republican soldiers cross the front-line to steal the bull that the enemy is going to fight on the local holiday of the nearby village. In addition to ruining the Nationalist faction's celebration they want the animal in order to butcher it and feed their famished troops. They get caught in the process and have to go through a series of funny and pathetic incidents before they can get back to their side.

Memorias de Leticia Valle

A fictionalized diary of an eleven-year-old girl who records an "inconceivable" seduction and scandal that forced her to leave Spain in the 1910s, based on the 1945 novel "Memoirs of Leticia Valle" by Spanish writer Rosa Chacel.

Rowing with the Wind

The Minister's Wife

Rafael, a young man from the provinces, works as a waiter in a resort and helps himself economically having sex for money with rich older women. The Marchioness of Montenegro is an aging aristocrat, ruined economically, but still with wealthy and influential friends. She helps Rafael finds a new job in Madrid as the gardener in the mansion of Antonio Fernández Herrador, Minister of economy in the new democratic Spanish government.

GAL

Two journalists investigate the criminal activities of the GAL (Grupos Antiterroristas de Liberación), a secret terrorist organization founded in the eighties and financed by leading figures in the Spanish government and security forces to hunt down and exterminate both members and collaborators of the terrorist gang ETA.
