Tayseer, a conservative man, has grown with a particular hang-up caused by his sister's marriage without his consent. When a man proposes to his daughter Kawthar, Tayseer vehemently opposes their relationship, even if the two are deeply in love. Is it too late to rid him of his hang-up?

Few Arab comedy series have left a mark quite like Sah El Nom. Written by the brilliant Nihad Qalei, who stars alongside the irreplaceable Duraid Lahham, the show gave the Arab world two of its most iconic characters — the lovable, street-smart Ghawar Tawasha and the memorable Houssni Al Bourzan. Warm, witty, and deeply rooted in Damascene folklore, it's the kind of show that never really gets old.

Due to the great success of the original TV series from 1972, this movie was created with almost identical actors and a slightly different plot. Two friends find themselves in an unexpected conflict when one of them, an employee working in a small hotel, falls for the hotel owner, but she is in love with his friend, a painter who has been staying in the same hotel for a long time, which creates jealousy and conflict between the two friends.

This vehicle for Syrian comedian Duraid Lahham offers the most risqué mad scientist subplot to be found in any of these Lebanese films, thanks to his character visiting the inventor of the Sexatron, a machine whose precise practical purpose remains sketchy, although the method for causing it to blow up is outlined clearly enough in the screencaps below. This sequence evidently tested the censor's limits and contains three splices in the Lebanese version of the movie; it may well have escaped uncut in the Turkish edit of the film.

A psychiatrist hypnotizes his female patients and robs them while they are under. The company where he committed one of his crimes enlists the help of a private detective to find out who is the perpetrator of the robberies.
