The Late Offices

A Turkish mortician in his 30s, Baki is an introverted man content with his isolation from society. However, when he comes up against death at close range, a troubling question strikes him: who would wash his body after he dies? This realization pushes him to venture out into the world, hoping to connect with people and perhaps even find a spouse. Yet, his life-changing decision proves difficult to go through with, leading to a series of awkwardly humorous and sometimes bizarre situations.

The Bandit

The film tells the story of a group of bandits captured in the Cudi Mountains 35 years ago. All of them have died, either from illness or vendettas; only Baran (Şener Şen) survives. After serving his 35-year sentence, Baran is released from Viranşehir Prison and learns that his birthplace is now submerged under the waters of a dam. Ceren Ana (Zübeyde Erden) tells him about the past. Baran is imprisoned because of the betrayal of his old friend Berfo (Kamran Usluer). Berfo stole the bandits gold, bought his childhood love Keje (Sermin Hürmeriç) from her father, and fled to Istanbul. While Baran is searching for Keje, he encounters a young man named Cumali (Uğur Yücel). These two men find solace in each other to avoid being swept away by the storms of the big city. And in this world where violence, betrayal, passion, boundless love and hatred intertwine, they try to survive.

Away from Home

After several years of numbly mourning his parents death, 26 year old Selim takes a chance on the US lottery for passports and wins. He decides to sell the family olive grove to raise enough money to live in Manhattan and to break all roots to Turkey, leaving his girlfriend behind. When Selim's aged grand uncle, Nasuhi returns from Russia after 58 years he asks Selim to visit with him the olive grove of his youth. Before they depart, Nasuhi finds a beaten Russian girl, Olga who was robbed when she tried to sell herself to raise money to continue her own search for her sea faring father.

Kadri and Cem are such good friends that they would do anything for each other. Cem has experienced a major disappointment in his love life and is in a state of depression. However, the hotel has another surprise in store: Cem's ex-girlfriend Betül and her new boyfriend Hakan. This situation drags Kadir and Cem into a series of comical events. USTA (International Cinema Television Workshop), of which Cem Özer is a partner, brings together master actors in the same cast for its first comedy film.
