Rita still cleans Almuth's house and the two ladies occasionally have tea together - they have actually become pretty good friends. When Rita's husband Werner suddenly passes away, Almuth has to help her. This is not easy for her and she is also struggling with her own problems. Klaus expects Almuth to finally make a decision about their relationship and then her daughter Kathrin moves in with her after separating from her husband. When Rita then interferes in Almuth's life, the women really start to quarrel. The cleaning lady has little understanding for Frau Doktor's throwaway mentality. In the end, Rita terminates Almuth's extraordinary friendship. Can the two opposing women find their way back to each other?

Occupation, children and marriage - everything is right with Merrit. But on the day when she wants to go on vacation with the family and her best friend Bea, she learns that her father has suffered a heart attack. Instead of going to Italy she drives to the Eifel. The father is the circumstances, but with her idiosyncratic mother Iris Merrit gets back together again. And then suddenly her husband Immo and the children are standing in front of the castle gate. Her daughter Jule is completely disturbed - she has caught her father in bed with Bea.

Despite her blindness, the famous singer Sophie Martell, who lives in Venice, has remained a cheerful, optimistic woman. However, she does not look forward to much, as her agent David hired journalist Eike Blohm to write Sophie's biography. But soon the idiosyncratic woman falls in love with her sensitive biographers. David, however, is not at all thrilled with Sophie's love affair: he fears that this could expose his scams and embezzlement of Sophie's private assets.

Alessandro Rossi, an Italia air force officer in diplomatic service, is happy with his wife, pilot Bea Rossi, who had a miscarriage and gets obsessed with her child wish when pregnant again of a boy to be christened Vittorio 'winner'. Bea resigns her job and moves in with his caring rural Italian family -mamma Teresa, papa Giuseppe and Bruder Giorgio- while his job keeps him mostly abroad. Bea's domineering mother Martha, who feels deserted, calls her to Berlin gravely ill, but dies before Bea arrives by train. Clearing out the home, where Bea's first love Moritz Wiesner, who cared fro Martha for her sake, rekindles (un-)happy youth memories. Alessandro can't get Bea to leave Berlin, where after unselfishly saving a child in danger she has another miscarriage, but hides it from Alessandro, whom she somehow blames, and resolves not to return without helping herself to a child, in a deranged way, but gets found out

The young Berlin anesthesiologist Nora is facing exciting times: her partner Eric makes her a marriage proposal and she has the opportunity to give her first important speech at an international congress in St. Petersburg. Nora goes to Russia, where she gets a frosty reception. The Russian pediatrician Andrej, who has been assigned to her as a personal companion, is not very enthusiastic about this task. So he puts Nora in a taxi soon. But then Nora is attacked and Andrej plagues his guilty conscience. Soon, the people are coming closer to the fight.
