Бандитский Петербург: Барон
Yury Mikheev, a thief-in-law nicknamed "Baron," along with his partner, burglarizes the antique-filled apartment of Mikhail Monakhov—a deputy's assistant and banker with ties to organized crime. Among the valuables, they steal Rembrandt's painting Danaë (referred to as Aegina). Baron tells his partner that it is merely a good copy, fully aware that it is actually the original masterpiece stolen from the Hermitage. Soon after, Baron lands in prison, where he leaves a dying wish to Andrei Seregin, a crime journalist: retrieve the painting from his mistress and return it to the Hermitage. Seregin launches an investigation on his own. Fearing that the swap and the fake currently hanging in the Hermitage will be exposed, the mobsters try everything in their power to stop him.
