The Trilogy (Naguib Mahfouz) — The series depicts the political and social conditions before the 1919 Revolution, focusing on the life of the Al-Sayyid Ahmad Abd al-Jawad family (played by Mahmoud Morsi), and the stark contrast between the strictness and discipline he imposes on his family, and the life of pleasure and indulgence he secretly lives alone at night.

Set in the 1970's, a group of actors work on a new play. They discover that the play's events revolves around their true behind-the-scenes characters, with the script presenting their deepest and darkest secrets. The actors try to put a stop to the revealing play, but their manager insists that the show must go on.
