What ensues is a game of cat and mouse with her cheating husband and mistress. She spirals out of control—behaving in ways she never imagined—threatening everyone around her and tearing her family apart.

Sun, an autistic man obsessed with finding a means of ending his life but who never succeeds in carrying it out, has to put his plans of suicide on hold once again when Uncle Mok, the owner of a coffee shop and little library called Tiny Butterfly, dies suddenly in the street right before his eyes. He isn't alone, though. Yaimai, a financial planner who likes one-night stands, and Tor, a sixteen-year-old runaway, also happened to bear witness. Together, the three strangers give their account to the police and arrange the kinless man's funeral.

Following the loss of his mother Ayako, Takumi receives a Lygodium box with a letter inside addressed to Wira. He then decides to travel from Japan to Thailand in order to return the box to its owner. There, Takumi meets Lita, Wira's daughter. He learns that his mother once asked Wira to teach her the art of Lygodium weaving and an incredible bond was formed though, in the end, she decided to return to Japan much to Wira's despair. Learning of their story evokes new thoughts about Takumi's own relationships.

This story follows the lives and discoveries of young Moken people in the Surin Islands of Phang-Nga, Thailand. When eighteen-year-old Ka-e finds a camera on the sea floor, he doesn't realise the danger of bringing it—and its secrets—back to shore.
