Grandmother's Melancholy

In the year 199X, on the dark, shady streets of New Kabuki Town, the free-for-all between gangs of young delinquents and a corrupt police force is further complicated by the appearance of a mysterious girl named Asuka.

Kuraku Asuka is a girl who had been bullied in middle school. Brought right to the edge of suicide, she finds purpose in fighting for her life - both literally and figuratively. Through an acquaintance with Kijiima Yohko, a sociopath who involves Asuka with the girl-gang underworld of Tokyo, Asuka is reborn as the best fighter in the city. Asuka becomes involved with the underground organization that runs the girl gangs, the Zenchuu Ura, and the leader of that organization, Hibara-sama. After being the second-most powerful person in the Zenchuu Ura, Asuka leaves Hibari and becomes friendly with the "outside Group" in Shinjuku. That "Omoteban" is run by the lovely Hime, and has members with the elemental names of Kai, Mizu, Hi, etc... Also involved with the Omoteban is Asuka's best friend, Doumoto Miko...the half sister of Yohko.

The story of Kuraku Asuka, a tough junior high student who gets involved with the gang scene in the Kabuki Chou Ichibangai, a rough area of Tokyo. Second OVA of "Hana no Asuka-gumi!" based on the popular girl's manga Hana no Asukagumi! (The Glorious Asuka Gang!) by Takaguchi Satosumi.

Based on the manga by Satosumi Takaguchi, adapted by Midori Kogane and Hidehiro Ito, and directed by Rokuro Mochizuki, this anti-hero story follows a fallen boxer turned extortionist. Takasu Goro, once forced out of boxing by a fixed match, now runs a front as a private detective while blackmailing targets ranging from students to yakuza bosses. Feared for his ruthless methods, he’s known as “the dirty one”. His intellectually disabled sister Keiko befriends a man named Osho at her favorite riverside spot. When a yakuza executive is killed, Goro tries to extort the boss for 100 million yen—triggering Keiko’s kidnapping.
