Dan, a short (and short-tempered) man, has nothing better to do with his time than rail against what he perceives to be life's injustices – even if he's completely in the wrong. Whether it's a beef against a fast-food chain, an untalented barber, the entirety of Canada, the game of baseball or lemonade-selling children, petulant Dan is always spurred into action, usually dragging his best friend Chris and Chris' undercover operative wife, Elise, along on the revenge-filled ride.

See the inner workings of a high-style magazine owned by Jack Gallo, who has hired his quick-tempered but talented daughter, Maya, to write for the publication. Challenging her at every turn is Nina, a vain and superficial former model. Then there's photographer Elliot, a man who is very popular with his portrait subjects as well as other women. completing the core staff is her father's assistant, Dennis, a glorified secretary who is generally disrespectful to one and all.

From an early age, Nia is mortified by her old-fashioned Greek family's patriotic, over-the-top ways. But, when she falls in love and marries a non-Greek teacher, Thomas Miller, her family eventually learns to accept him and Nia learns to accept her family's meddlesome ways. As Nia and Thomas return from their honeymoon to begin their new life together, they find that this new life includes her overzealous, extended family.

Under the leadership of glamorous, fame-seeking guru Gossamyrhh (Maggie Rowe, Ocean’s Thirteen, Fun With Dick and Jane), the duo encounters a wildly colorful collection of cultists, including his ex-wife (Amy Stiller, Tropic Thunder, Zoolander, The Cable Guy). But is Gossamyrhh’s philosophy actually genuine? Can Tripp really have it all through enlightenment … or is it a sham and part of a not-so-divine plan?
