Master of My Own

After being officially declared dead, Qin Tian miraculously returns—eight years younger and with his memory erased—giving his wife Xiao Fan an unexpected second chance to rediscover love with the man she once lost.

At the turn of the 20th century, three teenage boys chase the thrills of youth, friendship, and first love, unaware that the moments they treasure will soon become bittersweet memories of a time they can never return to.

Lin Tianjiao is the top girl in her school. During one of her tests, she resorted to copying from notes, and is spotted by Gao Xiang, who is considered a wayward student. When the note was discovered by the teacher, Gao Xiang chooses to claim responsibility for trying to cheat. Lin Tianjiao feels apologetic towards Gao Xiang, and begins their friendship. Meanwhile, Lin Tianjiao's good friend, Lu Tiantian is courting Ou Xiaoyang. However, due to his poor academic standing, Lin Tianjiao ignores him completely. Classmate Huang Tao is secretly in love with Lin Tianjiao, but is too shy to express it. As a result, he and his best buddy, Li Tao are at loggerheads with Gao Xiang.

Some lives are linked across time, connected by destiny. While aiding old theatre attendant Lin Ge, aspiring dancer Qiu Qian stumbles upon his diary which chronicles the life and memories they shared together since childhood, thus discovering a timeless love story concealed in another dimension.

The film consists of five story units: "Concert on the Clouds", "The Enemy and Enmity of the Square", "Welcome to Jina Village", "Calm Down", and "Sunset Red Scout". It tells the struggle of ordinary characters in the new era to pursue a better life. The story shows the country’s development and progress, people’s livelihood changes, and the people’s sense of gain, happiness, and security.
