The Nine O'Clock News Murder

We are in NRK’s Nine O’Clock News studio at Marienlyst. As usual, Kjell Tue is at the microphone, and in the control room, Totto Osvold is at the helm. Bank manager Hugo Oswald is to be interviewed live, but suddenly collapses dead in the studio, poisoned in front of an open microphone. Police detectives Helmer and Sigurdson are assigned to the case. Pensioner Brockmann, the murdered bank manager’s neighbour, also becomes heavily involved in the investigation.

Roland Marco is a scientist that believes certain sun-symbols can affect human behaviour. He wears an old ring carrying one of these symbols against his father's wishes, when terrible things suddenly start happening around him.

Med rett til å drepe

Norwegian Sci-Fi short based on William Tenn's short story "Time in Advance". In the far future a law is passed enabling citizens to serve out sentences for crimes they intend to commit, serving the full term, but with a 50% pre-criminal discount. Post-criminals and pre-criminals alike are sent to carry out hard-labour on hellishly perilous, far-flung Convict Planets. Few return. Those pre-criminals who are not killed, drop out before their terms are up, with nothing but scars and nightmares to show for their troubles. Two pre-criminals however manage against all the odds to serve out two full terms for murder, and return to Earth as minor celebrities, with the right to kill one person each.

Businessman Henrik Lehmann and his wife Tove are spending the summer at their country house near Risør. The idyll is shattered by a sinister incident. An accident, or perhaps a crime? Police officer Sigurdson, who happens to be holidaying in the same place with colleague Mette, has a mystery to solve

The movie begins with a disenchanted poet who, having had his fill of the world, decides to hide out in a large department store. There are many floors, dusty nooks and crannies, and forgotten storerooms where he can secret himself. He believes he has found the peace and serenity he seeks--away from humankind--in order to write his poetry. To his initial horror, he finds he is not alone. There are Others who have also sought refuge in the dark places of the department store. He quickly finds himself at the mercy of this clandestine social underclass, for none may leave and risk exposing those who have spent years in the store. What quickly evolves is a chilling tale involving the poet and a young woman who had lost her way in the store while a mere child, and who has since spent her entire life as the downtrodden handmaid to the evil matriarch who rules her clan with an iron fist.

In the midst of an atomic war on Earth in the near future, a number of colonists are sent to establish an outpost on Mars. Strange events begin to affect the Terran life brought as part of the settlement effort, including the seeded grass sprouting purple, the family cow growing a third horn in the middle of its head, and other anomalies with the vegetable garden. Slowly people begin to show signs of transforming into Martians, as their limbs and bodies elongate and their irises turn to a shimmery gold, along with their skin darkening.

Areal 618: De forviste

Norwegian short sci-fi based on the novel "The Visitor" by author Ray Bradbury. The story takes place on Mars, which is used as a quarantine for people with deadly illnesses. One day, the planet is visited by a young woman who has the ability to perform thought transference and telepathy. The exiles on the planet are thrilled with his ability and a violent fight breaks out over who will get to spend the most time with their visitor and enjoy the illusionary paradises she can transmit.

Lykkespill

A game of chance begins when a tenement dweller is found dead in his kitchen after putting on a new frying pan he had won at bingo. The frying pan was placed among the prizes, and a mysterious bald person instructed the bingo leader to give it to the person who later became the victim.
