Blood Bath Youth

A group of educated youth in 1970s Liangchuan City forge deep bonds during their rural resettlement, then pursue divergent life paths amid the tides of returning to the city, the Gaokao (college entrance examination), and the Reform and Opening Up, with protagonists Yu Leshan and Sheng Xuezhu ultimately achieving their dreams through hard work.

Follows a soldier trying to gain recognition for comrades who died in 1948, at a turning point in the civil war between the communists and the nationalist forces of the Kuomintang.

The film is based on true events, about the imminent execution of the death row inmates Zheng Ligun in the escort on the way to a sudden earthquake, the guardhouse collapsed into rubble, escaped from death, Zheng Ligun seems to have gained a sudden "freedom", but in fact, has been plunged into another purgatory......
