The series starred Milton the Monster, a Frankenstein-looking monster with a flat-topped, seemingly hollow head which emitted various quantities of white steam or smoke based on his mood or situation. In the show also appear Fearless Fly, Flukey Luke, Stuffy Durma the Millionaire Hobo, Muggy-Doo Boy Fox and Penny Penguin. There were 26 episodes with three cartoon shorts each.

After Uncle Max draws Koko the Clown and a jungle, he orders Koko to stay out and forbids Mean Max and Kokette from entering. Once he leaves, Mean Max emerges with a rifle and heads into the jungle, followed by Koko and Kokette. A gorilla captures Kokette, and Koko and Mean Max pursue them, facing a chasm, crocodile, lion, and other dangers. Eventually, the pair become trapped by a wire. Kokette tricks the gorilla into slipping on a banana peel and knocking itself unconscious, then frees the others. All three return safely to their inkwells before Uncle Max comes back.
