The drama tells the story of air force pilots and their families from 1945 to 1971. As the husbands embarked on patriotic missions to fight against the enemies, their families must content with horror of wars, mass emigration to distant land, and death of love ones. Their shared experience brought the military families together to support one another.

Adapted from the historical facts of Taiwan. On March 12, 1867, the American merchant ship – Rover was shipwrecked at the southern end of Taiwan’s Hengchun Peninsula. While “The Rover Incident” broke out, Tiap-moe was 18 years old. She was proficient in multiple languages, so she helped American Consul Charles Le Gendre with his investigation. During the investigation, she were forced to involve in a complex ethnic struggle. Facing the questioning and bullying associated with her ethnic groups, gender and bloodline, was Tiap-moe brave enough to help the Westerners, the Seqalus, the Hokkiens and Hakkas, even herself, to reach a state of peace and understanding?

This is a story of two girls whose lives for 16 to 30 intertwined. With flashbacks, they went through the maze of memories and the fog of emotions and realized the moving power of sincerity in depressions and sufferings. Father and daughter, female bonds, straight and homosexual romances are all in this profound story of life.

A-Qing, a sensitive youth in 1971 Taipei, is expelled from school and rejected by his family after a same-sex relationship with classmate Zhao Ying is discovered. Alone and searching for belonging, he begins spending time at New Park, a gathering place for gay men, where he meets friends and fellow outsiders navigating love, desire, and survival in a society that ostracizes them. Through his experiences and those of his peers, the story explores identity, friendship, longing, and the struggle for acceptance, offering a nuanced portrait of Taiwan’s gay subculture in the early 1970s and the bonds that sustain a marginalized community.

Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, China, the present day. Master chef Tang Shizhe (Kenneth Tsang) tells his two daughters, the careerist Wa'er (Huo Siyan) and teenage Xiaolan (Jiang Mengjie), that he has decided to sell his upscale vegetarian restaurant, the centre of his life for 30 years.
