Les Animaux sauvages d'Europe

The most important mountain range in Europe is more than a holiday destination for sports and relaxation. The Alps are not just an unpredictable force of nature against which humans have to assert themselves again and again, or an area steeped in history, but also a landscape that enchants. The documentary takes a foray through the history and geography of the Alps.

The Alps are more than just the longest and highest mountain range in Europe. The series is dedicated to its landscapes and its inhabitants from different angles and draws her portrait as a significant cultural region of Europe.

The Danube is a truly European river. It measures 2,888 kilometers (nearly 1,800 miles) from its source in the Black Forest to its mouth in the Black Sea, and it connects 10 countries with very different cultures. The Danube is therefore not only the second-longest European river after the Volga, but also the most international river in the world. It was and is one of the most important trade routes in Europe and forms a lifeline for many people.
