Egoli: Place of Gold

20-year-old Elri Dekker has the world at her feet. She is blonde, beautiful and the heir to a multi-million rand company. But she is more interested in fashion and boys than in a powerful business empire. When tragedy strikes, Elri soon realizes her luxurious life was just an illusion. Then her and Jan's paths cross and their destinies become so intertwined that there is no turning back.

The series follows Marietjie Barnhoorn, the estranged wife of a successful businessman; Leana Steyn, the private secretary of an elderly business tycoon, who is ruthless in her ambitions to overcome her impoverished past; and aging ballerina Mercia Meyer, who returns to South Africa after living and working abroad and has to deal with the hostility of her fellow South Africans.

After a murder is committed in their mansion, eight women suspect each other of the crime.

Koos van der Merwe disguises himself as Captain James van der Merwe to be with the daughter of a millionaire, but unbeknownst to Koos, James' twin brother is also about to arrive and confusion is bound to reach climax.
