The peaceful balance of a family living in seclusion on an island at the mouth of the Po River is shattered by the unexpected arrival of two fugitives on the run after a robbery. This forced coexistence, marked by suspicion, seduction, and subtle deceptions, sparks a clash between two opposing worlds: the utopian purity of the family and the ruthless cynicism of crime

Father Jean-Claude Barreau, 39, announced in September 1971 his decision to marry. This announcement would have a considerable impact due to the notoriety he had acquired as a best-selling author. 40 years later, his daughter Chloé looks back on this story that marked her family and questions yesterday's and today's society on a matter that is still relevant: the priests' vow of celibacy.

A diptych composed by: "Il pesce siluro è innocente" (60') - Two experienced eel fishermen in the Goro inlet; a young woman and a man dedicated to harvesting clams and mussels; a fisherman who raises show fish along the river canals. "Per soli uomini" (83') - Along the Po di Maistra, in the Ca'Pisani area, in one of the valleys the river creates at its mouth, live three men dedicated to fish farming.

So he turns it into a lucrative business, becoming a modern Cyrano for lonely people looking for companionship, sex, love, and humanity, searching for someone to connect with. But Lia is still on his mind, and one day he meets her again...
