‎Lesson of the Evil: Prologue

In 1972 Okinawa, a $1 million heist risks a US-Japan crisis. A covert police team has 18 days to recover the cash, uncovering ties to gangs, elites, and US forces.

Set in a small restaurant in the corner of a shopping district. The unusual eatery is only open after midnight, and its standard menu consists of just a single choice. However, the customers still come for the amusing chatter and the proprietor's willingness to cook any dish that they request. This drama depicts the lives of the restaurant's patrons, including a yakuza, an unsuccessful actor, a group of office ladies, a newspaper delivery boy, and a stripper.

In an otherwise mundane diner open from midnight to 7 a.m., there is no menu – but the chef cooks anything his customers want. Each episode is about different a different customer, as they find simple yet profound connections with one another based on their shared love of a particular dish.

Yuta lives in an orphanage while waiting for her mother to pick her up. One day, Yuta, who happened to know his mother's whereabouts, escaped from the facility with all his heart. However, there was a mother who depended on her cohabiting man and lived a self-deprecating life. Despaired, Yuta meets Sakamoto, a homeless man who lives in a light tiger while walking along the beach. Sakamoto accepts Yuta without asking anything. The two sleep and eat together while earning a small amount of money. Eventually, he became acquainted with Shiori, a girl who grew up in a wealthy family but had no place to live at home or school. Yuta is attracted to Shiori, who has the same loneliness as himself but is kind to him. However, the calm days end with an incident.

A restaurant opens at midnight. Both the menu offerings and personality of the owner draw a series of flawed patrons including Tamako, whose boyfriend has passed away, live-in worker Michiru, and ruckus-raising Kenzo.

The Master's late-night diner welcomes a woman troubled by funeral fans, an elderly scam victim, and a noodle delivery man struggling with love.

A.D. 2015: A virus spreads in many cities globally, a suicidal disease infected by pictures. Once infected, the diseased will soon meet death. They have no way of fighting back, filled with fear and despair. The media calls it the 'Lemming Syndrome'.

A psychic housewife and her husband accidentally find a kidnapped girl. Instead of informing the police, they hatch a scheme to get famous by working with the police as a psychic consultant to 'find' the girl. Just when it all seems to go right, everything goes horribly wrong.

Abandoned by his mother, Kenji scrapes out a meager existence doing odd jobs, including driving bar hostesses and their customers home. Besides this, he cares for the sister of an incarcerated friend and a young illegal immigrant. Eventually, his life reaches a turning point.

In a distinctly contemporary Tokyo that looks backwards to the city’s disappearing past, Yoko is a writer investigating the life of a modernist composer of the 1930s. She is pregnant by a man she does not want to marry and has found a kindred spirit in a used bookstore owner who aids her research.

Follows high school teacher Seiji Hasumi's background history and in the process depicts the horror inherent in daily life.

In suburban Tokyo in 1945, years of war and concentrated air raids by US forces have left the city in tatters and the population poor, tired, and hungry. The 19-year-old Satoko and her mother bide their time working nominal jobs and trying to stave off hunger. A displaced aunt turns up looking for shelter, but she is just another hungry mouth to feed. Satoko is becoming a woman and is drawn to the only eligible man in the neighborhood. This is a decidedly quiet film that focuses on a single character and her survival in dire circumstances in the spring of her life.

Even after solving the previous case, the Beni Detective Agency's daily life continues unchanged. Then one day, a young man comes to the office who admires Reiji and wants to work there. His name is Yusuke Yanagisawa. The first request that the two of them make is to investigate the disappearance of a sword used in a play. The client is the leader of a troupe of traveling entertainers.

The drama portrays the lives of two young men, Kaneko Ryū (played by Hōshi Ishida) and Sudō Kazutora (played by Yūtarō Furutachi). Ryū is a man who stakes his life on being a yakuza, while Kazutora despises the yakuza and seeks to surpass his father.

The story is set in Japan several years from now. The government has decided to experimentally establish "euthanasia special zones." The protagonists are rapper Shotaro Sako, who has been diagnosed with an incurable disease with no hope of recovery and only six months to live, and his partner, journalist Ayumi Fujioka. Opposed to the euthanasia law, the couple decide to move into the national strategic special zone, the "euthanasia special zone," with the aim of exposing the state of the special zones from the inside. There, they witness the love and suffering of people who have decided to end their lives. Through their conversations with the doctors, a subtle change occurs in their hearts, but...
