What's up France

The first stand-up comedy special by Paul Taylor, an Englishman who lived for several years in France as a child and therefore performs his shows 50% in the English and 50% in the French language. Here, he talks about a squirrel conspiracy, the French greeting culture and why queuing might no have been invented by the French.

Je m'appelle Paul, je suis Anglais et j'habite en France. J'ai fait un premier spectacle de stand-up intitulé "#Franglais" which was half in English and half in French. It went pretty well, so I've decided to do another show called "So British (ou presque)". It's the same concept. A show that is in both languages but with brand new jokes and stories that you've never seen before. Sébastien, a conscientious and professional train inspector, dreams of being transferred to the South of France. That's when everything goes wrong: between a driver who thinks he's driving a fighter jet, a jealous colleague and passengers who are each crazier than the last, what was supposed to be a formality turns into the worst trip of his life.

Bisoubye is Paul's third and final bilingual show in which he talks about saying goodbye to the concept of bilingual shows, the French language and alcohol. The show toured from 2022-2024 and was filmed in Brussels.
