Pourvoir

Patrice Enard’s ‘Pourvoir’ is a film mainly comprised of images of women in nature, his style is stark and repetitive, shots are angular, which both hide and reveal. There is though a visual poetry to his work - once the smoke dissipates, a sexual liberation emerges, with subtle flourishes in the staging and editing threaded together by Marxist and Freudian discourses.

Haunted Earth

In the seventeenth century, Catherine Lapeyre was wrongly accused of being a witch according to the register of the bishopric of Agen France. She was juged and found guilty by a College of Ecclesiastic and beaten to death. Catherine Lapeyre raised from the dead. She is lost in the space-time without knowing how she came back to Earth, a wasteland. She walks and walks through the country and just finds ruins, but never find any human beings. She wanders and feels terribly alone.

Vampyr

A few enigmatic characters evolve in a depopulated village in the South-West, blurring temporal markers and making shots resurface cyclically; adopting an impressionistic montage which breaks the linearity of the story.

Bathroom

"Speech about cleanliness" according to its author. Two characters cramped in bathroom. Glamour trash. While Anne talks about her cats, and her mother, making up, Hans Christian tells while blowing into bathroom sink a scene film Boudu sauvé des eaux during which Boudu (Michel Simon) who has the mania to spit on the floor lenght of time in bookseller shop who saved the life of Boudu, is reprimanded by this one ; Hans Christian is recreating to his girl friend the dialogue between two characters' Jean Renoir film.

L'aube des mauvais jours

September 1914. War rages between France and Germany. René, a young soldier, sent as a scout with two comrades, has the mission of warning the authorities of the advance of German troops. In the back, his wife, Brooke, waits tirelessly for his return, as guardian of the home. Despite the distance, they communicate mentally, their voices meet, they call each other, they tell each other about their terrible daily lives. Especially for René, the situation is becoming critical: the Germans are after them and he will soon have to obey the harsh law of military honor.
