Special Investigation Robo Janperson was the 1993 installment in Toei Company’s Metal Hero Series. The series revolved around Janperson, a robotic detective who patrolled the streets of Tokyo and fought against three different underworld organizations who used super technology to subjugate the masses. Unlike most Metal Heroes, a monster-of-the-week was rarely shown and most of the villains are criminals akin to television police dramas. The name given to this series by Toei for international distribution is Jumperson.

Tatsuo Hara (Ryosuke Yabe) arrives at Hailaku High School, a hangout for dropouts. He immediately wins the position of the first-year gang leader, but ends up making enemies with the third-year gang leader Ando (Gunji Masato) and the Ishin-gumi, who control the town!

Himuro and his friends are criticized by Hirono-gumi members, but they barely escape. Hirono's aim is to start a conflict between Himuro and Nakamori, and then take the sake cup from Sakoda. Himuro and his friends notice Hirono's plan, but follow the plan and send a message to Nakamori.

Ordering Reiko to stay silent and refusing police involvement, Kyowakai launches its own manhunt. As Baba remains in critical condition and suspicion toward Hirakawa grows among investigators and Kyowakai executives, Himuro quietly burns with thoughts of revenge.

Tatsumi of the Marukami-kai is isolated from the Marukami-kai and is chased away by the Kyowa-kai and the Marukami-kai. Himuro invites Tatsumi and his friends to Nagoya and attempts to settle the matter, but ends in failure. Tatsumi escapes and gets the civilians involved, and as the situation worsens, Himuro tries to set a trap for Tatsumi and his friends.

Due to Kikumura's resignation, Tsurumi-gumi was disbanded. The former Tsurumi-gumi Wakagashira is arrested, and the former Tsurumi-gumi Wakagami assistant is questioned. Meanwhile, Himuro and Tamura, who have recovered from their injuries, head to Nagoya again after receiving a report that Kozuchi was arrested after Himuro and his friends escaped. The mallet is released...

As the Heisei era nears its end, the Shimazu Clan's second-generation boss, Yumizo Tokuma (Ryuji Katagiri), suffers a fatal stroke, triggering a power struggle. A succession battle erupts between Wakagashira Tetsuo Sakuragi (Yasukaze Motomiya) and Saiko-komon Kippei Hagiwara (Kazuyoshi Ozawa). Hagiwara's faction aligns with the Kanto-based Ichio Federation to block Sakuragi from becoming the third-generation boss. Targeted for assassination and detained by police, Sakuragi faces escalating conflict. The feud claims lives, including members of Hidetoshi Kaji's (Hitoshi Ozawa) Koga Family. Remembering Tokuma's wish to avoid internal bloodshed, Sakuragi withdraws from the race, vowing to step away. Yet, his decision may not bring an end to the turmoil...

Following the death of acting chairman Baba (Akihiko Kuwata), Kyowakai continues its hunt for Adachi (Atsushi Arai), while the Marugami-kai and the Special Investigation Unit closely monitor their movements. As expected by Himuro (Yasukaze Motomiya), Adachi contacts the Keihin Alliance's Sakagami (Yoshiki Kanahashi), prompting the Yamazaki Ichimon to stake out the group's key locations. Adachi attempts to strike a deal with Sunaga (Masataka Naruse) but flees when it falls through, escaping Teru (Yutaka Kyan) and Ryuji (Tatsuya Kishida). Himuro and Tamura (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi) then change tactics by kidnapping Sunaga. Meanwhile, reports pour in that Yamazaki faction members are attacking the Keihin Alliance's affiliated groups, leaving everyone to wonder what Himuro's true plan is.

With Baba (Akihiko Kuwata) acting as Kyowakai chairman and Sakota (Hideo Nakano) leading the Marugami-kai, both groups begin a new chapter. Kyowakai finalizes long-delayed executive appointments: Hayashida (Ehara Shu) replaces the retired Nakajima as Shikoku block leader, while Hirakawa (Hitomi Matsuda) becomes Tohoku block leader by Baba’s nomination, easing concerns from Himuro (Yasukaze Motomiya), Tamura (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi), and Ueki (Daisuke Nagakura). While drinking in Kobe, Baba drunkenly orders Himuro and others to “crush Marugami,” and the remark quickly spreads to Marugami and investigators. Baba then orders a manhunt, but Hirakawa objects and questions why the “Adachi-kai,” a group of delinquent gangs that fled Kyowakai’s control and formed in Tohoku, had been ignored. After being calmed by Himuro, Hirakawa heads to Tohoku to handle the group himself—setting the stage for new tensions involving Baba, Hirakawa, and the Adachi-kai.
