Heyalir Chhanda

Detective Byomkesh and sidekick Awjeet, on the request of Dr. Rakshit, meets Bishupal, a moneylender whose life is under threat from Awbhoy Ghoshal. However, Ghoshal is found dead in a twist of events.

An expensive diamond necklace worth Rs. 57,000 gets stolen from Jeweller Roshomoye Sarkar's house by his servant Bholanath the night before its delivery to Delhi. Byomkesh investigates.

Magno Mainak is a 2009 crime thriller based on the novel of same name by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. It was directed by Swapan Ghosal and produced by New Wave Communications. This is the third Byomkesh Bakshi film adaptation. Subhrajit Dutta played Byomkesh while Rajarshi Mukherjee played Ajit. Piyali Munsi, Rupanjana Mitra, Gargi Roychowdhury and Biplab Chatterjee acted in other roles.

Byomkesh is invited by a police officer to help him investigate a most spooky mystery. A house has been the source of trouble for its current and former resident. Baikuntha Das, the original inhabitant of the house was a goldsmith, he had 51 precious jewels in his possession which he kept somewhere hidden in the house. The poor goldsmith was brutally murdered and the jewels stolen, now the current resident, Kailashbabu, claims that the ghost of Baikuntha Das is haunting him. Byomkesh and Awjeet dismiss this as the ravings of a neurotic and decide to pay him a visit, but then the duo discover first hand that Kailashbabu might not be lying.

An honest motor mechanic lives happily with his wife, two sons and an adopted son. Unfortunate incidents ensue when one of his handsome sons falls in love with a rich girl and decides to marry her.

Several Hindu people whose lives get intertwined, experience complex human emotions due to many complications. They all come to the conclusion that love does not always bring happiness.
