Tales of the Bizarre: 2004 Fall Special

Takako Meguro, a typical office worker known to her friends as Medaka, starts a new career as a night school teacher when her company restructures. At first, she's not so crazy about her new job and gets by with a minimum of effort. But as she continues, she finds out it's quite a challenge after all. Her students range from a high school dropout to a salaried worker, and also include a self-employed fellow, and a cabaret hostess, in short, a motley crew! What's more, half of them are older than her and, to make matters worse, one of them is a elementary school classmate. But a certain turn of events results in Medaka's becoming a really dedicated teacher! Although she's surprised herself at this change of character, her trials are just about to begin.

An omnibus special comprised of five segments.

Nao Kanzaki is a college student who is known for her honesty and naivete. One day, she receives a black postcard indicating that she has been selected to participate in the "Liar Game Tournament". Along with the postcard is a box with 100 million yen. The goal of the first round of the game is to trick the other player out of their hundred million yen. At the end, the winner would get to keep the hundred million earned, and the loser owes the LGT 100 million yen, which "will be collected by any means and at all costs".

"Late blooming Sunflower -My life renewed-" is a story of 7 young adults living their ordinary days near the Shimanto river of Kochi prefecture, renowned as the last of the crystal clear streams. Somewhat nostalgic, somewhat new, they hold on to their dreams and insecurities. It's a true-to-life portrayal of the days in young adulthood.

This special edition features four unique horror stories, each exploring mysterious and thought-provoking themes. Episode summaries: 1. "What Happened in Ginza" A young boy captures a rare creature known as the "Nihon Ookanemochi" (Japanese Millionaire) in Ginza, leading to unexpected events. 2. "Melody in the Air" An office worker develops a condition where she must act in sync with the music playing in her mind to survive. 3. "The Delivery" A man discovers a mysterious app that delivers anything instantly, but its use leads to unforeseen consequences. 4. "Pretending to Make a Call" A woman fakes phone calls to avoid unwanted attention, only to find herself connected to her deceased father.

Hosted by veteran comedian Tamori, "Bizarre Tales 2007 Fall Special" presents five tales. 1. Mirai Dousoukai - starring Ishihara Satomi. 2. Countdown - starring Abe Sadao. 3. Jihanki Otoko - starring Joshima Shigeru. 4. Gomi Onna - starring Matsushita Yuki. 5. 48% no Koi - starring Shiraishi Miho. Synopsis: A "trainee angel" named Natsumi works on Earth for an advertising company. In order for her to become a fully-fledged angel, Natsumi must facilitate the meeting of a man and a woman who are destined "by fate" to spend their lives together, and she has her sights on a man who works in the same building.

Yoko, a sort of modern tomboy, almost by chance gets her sights set stubbornly on becoming a Cabin Attendant (CA), a type of woman the men are all fond of, but a role which is completely out of character for her. (This is a drama about young people including a girl who wishes to work on the stage of big sky) The headstrong Yoko Misaki (Aya Ueto) is a boyish girl who loves rock’n roll but hates dishonesty and has never once worn high heels. A chance comment by one of her friends causes her to aim for the job of a cabin attendant on an airline, which is completely out of character. Although she also feels the work is not up her alley, Yoko starts to prepare for the entrance examination with vigor, exhibiting her inborn never-say-die spirit and miraculously passing the examination. Naively assuming that she would immediately become a cabin attendant upon passing the test, Yoko of course has stiff training awaiting her.

Coin Laundry Story: Hashimoto Manabu is a temporary worker who has been laid off and has no choice but to live on part-time work. One day, he finishes washing his work clothes at a coin laundry and is about to put it into a dryer but the dryer just will not start. .. Story: Tatemoto Masako works for Shinwa Stationery’s General Affairs Department. She seems to be a typical office staff but she possesses a strange ability to manipulate people using the power of words.. Imaginary Friend Story: Harada Saki is a university student majoring in clinical psychology. At a lecture, she learns about imaginary friends created by a figment of imagination. It is said to be most common for those who are an only child or the eldest son or daughter. ... Update Kazoku Story: Three generations of the Kurosaki family live together under one roof. But they have not been a happy for a long time and the scene when they eat breakfast as a family has changed into a savage one....
