Preity, a Sikh girl from India, visits Pakistan for yatra. She meets Shaan there and they both fall for each other. Eventually, she had to go back and then Shaan goes to India to marry her but all of extremist India stands between them.

It follows the lives of a happy couple whose world is turned upside down by a charismatic but scheming con man. Trapped in a web of deceit, betrayal, and wrongful accusations, the protagonist must fight against all odds to clear his name and protect his family. The film is an adaptation of the 1992 American thriller Consenting Adults, directed by Alan J. Pakula

The Islamic world is in crisis with the publication of Salman Rushdie's Satanic Verses. Rushdie wants Pakistan, the stronghold of Islam, to fall.
