This film tells the story of two girls, Karina and Roesdjana, who have conflicting characters and habits. While Karina is traditional, Roesdjana is modern.

Elang Darat, who leads a gang of robbers continuously harasses the village of Kresek. To overcome the security threat, the head of the village calls for assistance from a detective, R. Parlan. During a raid, Parlan is injured, and is nursed by Rukmini, the village head’s daughter. Their closeness prompts jealousy in Gunawi, the adopted son of the village-head. Later, it is revealed that Gunawi is the son of R. Bardan, Parlan’s father. Parlan then must face Gunawi because he is actually the one that people call Elang Darat.

Titi loses her mind after her beloved child passed away. His husband, Suria is in love with Kartinah, the nurse. But he does not want to have two wives.

Mardjoeki goes missing after his wealth is taken by his brother, Djoekri. His son, Mochtar, is left behind and is treated like a slave by Djoekri. In a chase scene between Djoekri and The Black Jackal, it turns out that Mardjoeki is still alive, and he is the man behind the mask all this time.

Rasmina regrets her evil deeds and returns to her former husband, Karta.

Later, it is revealed that the one who has been keeping Suti out of danger is none other than Pengkor, who is her own father Haji Saleh.
