On June 18, 2010, twenty-one municipalities were affected by floods in Alagoas. Thousands of families lost everything when the river level rose six meters, invaded streets and caused unprecedented damage in the region. The city of Branquinha was one of the most affected, with 80% of its territory flooded by water. All public buildings, schools and the library were destroyed. Now the city will be built in another place and of its history only what remains in the memory of its residents.

Once a year, a family gathers and challenges the weather to plant, harvest and produce manioc flour in the interior of Alagoas. A food that is the basis of Brazilian culture and the roots of a people. A silent tradition that gradually reaches its end.

They had met by chance and, apparently, fell in love at first sight. Ranulfo Falcão is a methodic man, with goofy look and slurred speech. Ticiane Simões is the girl with big and sexy smile. In common, only the fact that both keep secrets that, when revealed, will change the course of things.
