Scratch

In Scratch both the animation and the soundtrack are abstract. The movie is a conversation of sounds and images. Soundtrack and animation are scratched directly on 35 mm film.

Zodiac

A fable about the human condition in which two people are confronted with their limtations and the opportunities available to them in life. Film without words.

The State Against Mandela and the Others

South Africa, July 11th, 1963. Several members of the African National Congress, an organization declared illegal, are arrested in Rivonia, a country house near Johannesburg. The detainees, along with Nelson Mandela, imprisoned since 1962, are charged with serious crimes for their radical activism against the apartheid regime.

An Abstract Day

Abstract Day is a semi-abstract animation film by Oerd van Cuijlenborg based on a story which is told in sound. We witness a day in the life of a couple, who fight, make love and escape the hot and crowded city. It is a simple story in which the visuals and sound are produced together to merge into a unique world.

Jazzimation

A jazzy film in which the spectator is forced to look with the ears and listen with the eyes. An abstract film drawn directly on the computer.

Accused #2: Walter Sisulu

Without Walter Sisulu, there wouldn’t have been Nelson Mandela. Mandela, accused number one, read a speech during the trial justifying why the African National Congress had resorted to violence. Sisulu, accused number two, was the first of the group to be cross-examined. Transported back into a world of secret court sessions during the apartheid nightmare, the viewer will discover the testimony of an exceptional man who instigated one of the turning points of 20th century history.
