Tom Grant saves Grace Percival from being tromped by a herd of stampeding horses,led by Tony, and they become friends. Grace tells Slade, a renegade who has been trying to capture Tony, the leader of the wild horses, that Tom has promised to capture Tony for her. Not if Slade has anything to say about he isn't.

At the suggestion of his sons Horace and Henry, aging Ebenezer Boyce turns over control of his pistol factory to Martin. However, when Ebenezer discovers the extent of Martin's dishonesty and corruption, the shock gives the old man a heart attack and he dies. Soon afterward Martin is discovered dead, and the brothers begin to suspect each other of the murder.

Talked into attending so that he can have free room and board, Allen initially resists the rigid discipline but later softens as he makes friends and sees the value to the hard work and discipline.

Wheeler's son Frank has fallen in love with Lola Schram, whose pro-German mother is forcing the girl to work for Frederick Kube, the head of the spy ring, but when Kube learns of the romance, he orders Mrs. Schram to break it off. When Lola finally confesses her activities to Frank, Kube kills her and then frames Frank for the murder. Meanwhile, Jane, through the help of Jimmy and Tilly Ware, has discovered Kube's headquarters and modus operandi

Wholesome country girl Mary works at the House of Magic beauty salon and pines for the owner Clay. Unfortunately Clay has also been targeted by experienced vamp Rita.

Harry comes to the city as a hick, and immediately runs into a silk hatted slicker who relieves him of his valuables. Soon Harry gets suspicious of everybody, and thinks that every accident is a plot to ruin him.

Rich, spoiled Marian pressures Eric to marry her. Her brother is in love with her friend Mamie, but a scheming ex-husband tries to blackmail her. Mamie is saved from suicide by Eric, who's in a compromising position when he brings her home.

Escaping from the police, The Baron, a gentleman crook, learns that Colonel Patterson, a wealthy banker, is remodeling his house as a surprise for his daughter, Mildred, who is about to be married to Robert Wallace. The Baron goes to the house, and, by impersonating the architect, discovers the location of the safe and also gains the confidence of Mildred, who is angry at Robert for kissing a vamp. Mildred arranges with The Baron to feign a kidnapping in order to test Robert's loyalty; but she soon regrets the deception, for The Baron, having burgled the Patterson safe, really does abduct her. Trapped on a runaway train, she is rescued by Robert just as it crashes into a deep river. Mildred forgives Robert for his indiscretion with the vamp, and The Baron is apprehended.
