Bijlmer Odyssey is a romantic comedy about two young lovers who were made for each other. Lost and separated from each other in a labyrinth of high-rise flats, they become entangled in comical adventures and meet colourful locals who ultimately help them find each other again. With a nod to the classical Odyssey of Homer, this heart-warming, big-city comedy of errors provides an unusual and enchanting view of the Bijlmer, a low-income estate district on the outskirts of Amsterdam.

He is looking for a new topic to discuss in his popular talk-show. She is a teacher at a musical school - a timid girl looking for Mr. Perfect on an internet dating site. He will help her realise her potential and teach her how to recognise various types of men for what they are, she will teach him what real life is about. The show will become a huge hit. Alone in her empty flat, from her window Anne observes the people passing by who nervously snatch up the personal belongings and pieces of furniture she has put out on the pavement.
