It's raining

A young home nurse, who has been treating a burn victim for some time, accidentally discovers, during a very hot summer day, that he takes pleasure in hurting him.

In October 1958, the Sicilian newspaper L’ORA coins the term “MAFIA” for the very first time to denounce the endemic organized crime in the region. Shortly thereafter, a bomb detonates in front of the editorial offices; only two days later the daily reappears with the headline: ‘The Mafia may threaten us, our investigation continues.’ Inspired by true events, L’ORA takes place in Palermo of the late 50 ́s and early 1960s. Newly minted Editor-in-Chief with his group of fearless journalists focus their investigation on organized crime and its reach into every corner of church and society.

Antonio is seventeen years old and has a dream: to be a footballer in a great team. He lives in a small village in the province of Campania, a place where getting away is not always that easy. What makes the situation even more complex is the wonderful Miriam, a kind and gentle, but highly problematical mother, who Antonio loves more than any other person in the world. On top of this there is Carlo, Antonio's father who abandoned them when he was very young, and Miriam is obsessed with the idea of rebuilding her family. All of a sudden life seems to present Antonio and Miriam with a real opportunity: a talent scout looking for promising youngsters to take to the Parma team’s Primavera. But there is a high price to pay for every dream.

Bernardo is a charming, successful man, full of friends, always frantically searching for his freedom. For a bad twist of fate one day everything changes, putting him in front of a choice: accept what has happened or become someone else, to take back what life has taken from him.

Within a couple's cohabitation, the monotony of daily life turns them into mere spectators of what happens.
