The film comprises of a series of animations that questions notions of gender, sexuality and identity. Battling with stereotypes, the film is able to touch on some very pertinent ideas and urges us to rethink of what we understand about homosexuality and life.

Three different lives. Three different stories. One homeless person. He might change their lives forever. - A young waitress and an aspiring actress is from a broken home, living with her abusive father. She will do anything to seek freedom. The problem is that she is searching it in all the wrong places. - An art student comes from a warm and bubbly home. She is now facing a harsh reality and all the dilemmas that come by with living in the city. - A priest, sworn to God, is enchanted by the seductive charms of a young catholic girl. Now, he must make the life-changing decision. All seek redemption. But will they find it? We all make mistakes on our path and have big stories to tell to the world. Sometimes, we don't get a second chance. But hey, there's always tomorrow!

Inner struggle of a queer woman in her 30s, who is trying to find her place under the sun. One day she meets an elderly woman whose story has an important influence on her life decisions.

"Not Your Ordinary Sister" is a queer satire which, in a witty yet direct way, addresses both the startling popularity of lesbian vampire films as well as the lack of proper representation in queer cinema on the subject of queerness within the conservative and patriarchal religious organizations (lesbian nuns / lesbian ex-nuns).
