‘Punda the Zebra’ tells the story of a little foal, from its birth to the end of the annual great migration. Less than an hour after his birth, he knows how to run. When you are one of the weakest species in the Savannah, it’s a question of survival. Little Punda discovers the herd and the essential skill of learning to recognize his mother in the middle of a jungle of stripes. We follow him on one of the largest migrations in the animal kingdom.

It is advocates and lawyers taking over; white-collar rangers whose clients are rivers, forests and wildlife. They militate for nature to be recognised as a legal entity, in order to file a complaint on its behalf and represent them in court. Indeed, they look for all the loopholes in the laws and attack the enemies of nature on their own ground.

Drawing on archives and interviews, including one with Italian director Marco Bellocchio, this is a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the making of his film about reformed mafia member Tommaso Buscetta.

Namib, an incredible spot is home to the highest sand dunes on Earth, along with 3500 species of plants of incredible diversity, all adapted to the arid climate. Elephants, antelopes, lions, giraffes and rhinoceros roam freely in the Namib with neither fence nor enclosure, as if at the dawn of time. Management of the protected areas has been entrusted to the local people and in particular to the Himba, the dominant tribe of the desert. Underground there are hidden treasures, diamonds, uranium and iron. From the beginning of the 20th century the Namib has attracted miners from all over the world, with an increasing appetite. Today, new mining projects threaten the ecosystem of the region. Olivia crosses the desert from the South to North, sharing the difficult everyday lives of the people of the desert. Exploring this rich but fragile garden of Eden, she attempts to understand why the survival of the desert is so important to the people and animals that live there.
